do you ever feel like you like someone a lot more than they like you and then start to feel like you’re just annoying them because while you always want to talk to them they probably don’t always want to talk to you and it stresses you out a lot and then you just start to feel really depressed about it

There are times in your life when all you can do at the end of the day is turn out the lights, flop on your bed and throw in the towel, raise the white flag. For some, that kind of surrender is hard to even contemplate, and harder to accept. And there’s a dignity in that, in fighting to the finish, to the red-faced bitter end. But in those moments in bed right when the lights go out, solace can be found. The very act of giving up becomes a starting point. You clear your head, you still your beating heart, you navigate the rocky shoals of setting out again. Call it surrender or serenity, it doesn’t matter which, because the thing you never thought you’d do or say or ever have to face becomes more than what you have to do, it becomes the way it is.

Life, they say, can turn on a dime, and in a world that constantly shifts beneath our feet, the only thing we can know for sure is how we feel. The love we have, the fear we hide from, the pain we push away; give it a voice and the rewards are peace of mind and a peaceful heart

Friendship: It begins when two people choose each other, but what happens when we outgrow the choice? When little by little, our paths diverge, our needs change, and one day we wake up and realize that we need to choose something different.

Sometimes the only way to move forward is to stop moving; to stand still and to decide that no matter what happens, no matter how much it hurts, you’re exactly where you want to be

It doesn’t matter where we’re going. It doesn’t matter how quickly we try to get there. It doesn’t matter that we never look back. The past we left behind will still find a way to catch up to us… We may think we’ve left the past behind, but it has a way of catching up to us. Though we want to run away, we are forced to confront our past and the secrets that it buried must come into the light. And then, if we are strong, we are able to move on. Yes, we all need to leave the past behind and move on toward the future, and if we are lucky, we will have help getting there
